Fall in Washington... pumpkin picking, a Halloween Brunch and DIY Elton John and Freddie Mercury Couples Costume.
BRUNCH - I finally hosted a brunch in Seattle. An intimate one, just with three of my closest friends. But damn my heart is feelin full. Pumpkin pancakes from Trader Joes, mimosas, and (not pictured) omlettes. Oh and of course, COFFEE in my french press from YIELD Design co.
Pumpkin Picking at Remlinger Farms on a rainy PNW autumn day.
With Liz. Who, of course, wore her Prada boots.
Hiding from the rain with a fall picnic of caramel apple, pumpkin butter, cheese, and crackers.
Washington in the fall is what dreams are made of.
Did a DIY Elton John costume based on his look HERE. Everlane jeans and a vintage blouse that were already in my closet, paired with Chloe Sunglasses. And a thrifted white leather jacket that I added feathers and suede cord to.
Liz dressed as Freddie Mercury, and together we were the plot twist where Elton and Freddie fell in love and lived happily and healthily ever after... and also as lesbians.
Not to be dramatic but... I am proud of myself for how far I have come. This time last year I was deeply depressed and questioning my move to Seattle. I had one friend, a shitty job to pay rent while I rebuilt my business, and was dating someone who I absolutely should not have been dating to pass time and feel a little less lonely. NOW, I am steadily building a job and career that is life affirming, I have so many sweet friends and a girlfriend, and way better mental health. A year ago I had no friends to pumpkin pick with, or have a Halloween brunch with, or dress up and go out with. And this year I have all of that. And my heart is feeling explosion levels of gratitude.
