(outfit details; shirt, Jaelle Sustainable. scarf, vintage. shoes, Espadril. hat, Lack of Color. anklet, Mejuri.)
My trip to Cape Town was one of those life changing- sounds sort of cliche- mind altering- heart exploding- magic experiences. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen those three weeks worth of posts and the insta stories (they are all still up, check it out!) of me gushing about this place. Since I got back I have been having trouble sorting through the (literally thousands) of photos and putting into words how I feel. I have decided to do a few outfit/portrait posts, and then one big Cape Town Guide. Starting off with this beach day outfit post...
Starting off 2018 on the right foot, with sustainable fashion. I made this beachy blousy cover up right before jetting off to Africa. It is made with reworked and recycled fabric. This is the direction I want to take Jaelle Designs in, and I am so excited about it! Reworked, one of a kind, ethical, responsible pieces!
Paired with Cape Town essentials; a straw hat, custom hand made sandals by local artisans at Espadril, a vintage silk scarf, sunnies, and this Mejuri necklace (that I wore as a necklace here, and as a bracelet here) repurposed as an anklet, and bottled water... because of the drought.
Be sure to follow on Instagram and Bloglovin' to not miss any Cape Town posts!
