Andrew and I spent two weekends ago in Maine, we were up there briefly visiting my family and shooting a wedding (!!!). The wedding was in Bangor, which is pretty close to Mount Desert Island, which is my favorite place in the world! I've blogged about it in years past before (here, here, here, here, here, and here). It was a short trip, but so fun taking Andrew on his first ever camping trip and showing him all of my spots on the island including Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! First stop was Sand Beach, the sand here is pink from far away due to the pink granite covering the coast line. And is made up of bits of rock and shell and some really stunning mini shells (like all sand, but this isn't as broken down, which makes it so beautiful).
