DIY Chain Headdress

May 8, 2013

diyheaddress1

I avoided the middle part of a headdress for so long, but finally decided that if my side part came back to the middle halfway back and in the very front, I could absolutely pull this off! I have been mkaing headwraps and hair chains for a while and here, here, and here are my other designs. This one is rather simple, which I think makes it rather chic while also being gypsy bohemian and absolutely fit for a goddess. Here is my how-to tutorial on a DIY Chain Headdress that is equal parts Gypsy and Goddess

Supplies;
Chain
Extender Chain (if you want to make an adjustable headdress)
Jump Rings
Lobster Clasp
Pliers
Wire Cutters

Steps;
-Take one piece of chain and measure all the way around your head.
-Cut the chain to this length.
-Fold Chain in half.
-Cut the chain in half.
-Put the two pieces on a jump ring
-Cut a third piece of chain about an inch shorter than the other two.
-Attach this piece to the jump ring as well, in between the other two.
-Using the pliers attach a jump ring and a lobster clasp to the farthest right chain.
-Put the middle and left chains on a largejump ring, as well as the extender chain.
-Hook the lobster clasp to the large jump ring or to the extender chain.
-Wear your new Headdress and show off your talent to the world!
