DIY Hand Harness

January 10, 2013

Here is a little DIY tutorial on how to make the pearl and silver hand harness I am wearing in this post.

HandHarness1

Supplies;

HandHarness2

Silver Chain
Pearl Chain
2 Jump Rings
Wire Cutters
Pliers

Step One-
Use pliers to attach a jump ring to the end of the chain.

HandHarness3

Step Two- Measure the chain around your finger (I prefer middle, but whatever works!), and secure with jump ring.

HandHarness4

Step Three- Cut a little of the way down (about right where your knuckles end) with the wire cutters.

Step four- repeat step one, and measure around your wrist (loosely so it can slip on and off, but tight enough so it stays on) and secure the jump ring.

HandHarness5

Step Five- Cut a little of the ways up with the wire cutters.

Step Six- Use the pliers to open up the top of the pearl chain, connect it to the end of the chain for your finger, close it with the pliers.

HandHarness6

Step Seven- cut the pearl chain with the wire cutters so that it reaches the top of the chain for the wrist.

Step Eight-repeat step six so the pearl chain is connecting the wrist and finger chains

Your new hand harness!

  10. great work! i just recently made one myself (not as clean a result as yours) but it definitely turned me on to other DIY metal works, namely embossing on metal pendants etc. i am new to blogging but am digging your blog so far.
